And baby makes 5!

So if you haven't taken the time to read through my last post (shame on you!) you are just finding out that we are having a baby! Baby #3 is due August 2, 2010. I am almost 12 weeks along and starting to get over the all day nausea. I have had a few groans and a 'you're crazy' thrown at me, but as of right now, we are not finding out what we are having. We already have a beautiful little girl and a handsome little boy, so we thought we'd let this one be a surprise. I would have posted a cute, but undecipherable ultrasound picture had I not had to change doctors due to insurance. For some reason this doctor's office doesn't take an ultrasound until 20 weeks. :( We are excited! Livvy cried and said "I don't want another baby" when we told her. Micah thinks there is a baby boy in his tummy and a baby girl in Livvy's tummy. So maybe we're having twins. We'll keep you posted on any developments.

2010 Disney World Marathon & and half!

So Kenny, my parents, my niece Baylie and I spent the last 6 days in cold, cloudy Florida. It seems Jack Frost wanted to make our races a real adventure this year! Kenny, Baylie and I ran the 1/2 marathon on Saturday in 19 degree weather with sleet, snow and rain. It was not a very enjoyable experience, but we all finished and have the medal to prove it. My parents have the before and after pictures of that race so once I get a copy I'll post them.
Sunday morning, after about 4 1/2 hrs of sleep, I got up to run the marathon. Yep, I logged 39.3 miles in two days. It was cold that morning as well, about 30, but very windy which made it worse. I added time to my last marathon, but I am taking into account the 13.1 miles I ran the day before, lack of sleep for 3 days in a row (my mom snores!) and the weather. But, I finished and can cross that goal off of my list.
Aside from the races, it was Baylie's first time to WDW so we spent 4, cold but fun days in the park. Friday was Animal Kingdom. The rain and cold actually helped a little because all the animals were out for the safari ride. Saturday we spent at Disney Hollywood Studios. Baylie LOVED Rockin Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. Sunday was sunny and we spent the day at my old stompin ground, Magic Kingdom. Baylie even ate a pretzel from my old pretzel wagon. Sniff, good times. (It has been 10 years since I went out for my internship. Boy how I miss it sometimes). Monday we had a full day at EPCOT. Soarin' was the highlight. I think I offended some French visitors because I said the circlevision movie in France was the longest 18 minutes of my life, honestly....it was. We arrived home last night and I was very happy to see my children. The pictures that follow are our days in the parks and then the marathon. I think the last picture says it all...enjoy!

Disney World Alaska

At least that it what it felt like! Kenny and I just got back from what was supposed to be 5 warm, sunny days in Orlando where we ran our races. What we got was 19 degrees with sleet the morning of our 1/2 marathon and a high of 45 the whole time we were there! Crazy stuff weather is! I'll post pictures soon, just taking some time to unpack.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I know you are all just dying to see what has been going on in the lives of the Greer's! Well......you'll have to wait a little bit longer :) I honestly have been sooo busy with work and Christmas and home life, I haven't hardly been on my computer at all. But, I promise to update soon. Love to you all!

Petroglyphs and Pictographs...do you know the difference?

So it shows you how much I know about the state I live in that I didn't even know we had petroglyphs and pictographs. I had a wonderful patient at the hospital tell me all about them and how close they were, a fun little day trip. I told Kenny about it, he was like, "oh yeah, there are tons of them all over Utah. Let's go take a look at these." So on one of his days off, we packed up the kids and car and drove to Castle Dale, UT.
We didn't make it to all of the sites my patient told me about, mainly due to the fact the sun sets at like 5:00 now! Our first stop was called "The Rochester Panel". It was a good hike to get there, I was almost afraid we had gone to the wrong spot when Kenny rounded a corner and there they were! These are petroglyphs because they are carved into the rock. Pretty neat!

Our second stop was actually to a place called "Ghost Rock". It's not a petroglyph or pictograph, but still really cool. We saw it while looking for the next site and decided to get out a take a picture. I am not sure, but I think it might be part of what is called "The Wedge" or Utah's little grand canyon.

Once back in the car, we couldn't find the exit we were looking for and couldn't make it out to stop 3 and 4 due to time and day light. So we turned around and headed to stop 5 in the Buckhorn Wash. This panel was really neat. It is called the, "Buckhorn Wash Pictograph". It is 120 long and really neat. Unfortunately, it has been damaged some, but the Bureau of Land Management have tried to restore it to it's original state. Pictographs are painted onto the rock.

The 6th site would be really hard to find, luckily Kenny saw a path easily missed while driving. It is called the "Alabaster Petroglyphs" and was hidden behind a hill. If you didn't see the path, you would have missed it altogether.

The last stop we didn't get to because it was already dark outside once we got back in the car. I hope to be able to see the sites we missed, maybe in the summer we'll go back and find more! Utah is a pretty amazing state, I need to get out there and explore it!

Disney on Ice

I took Livvy to Disney on Ice. My mom, sister Cari and niece Ali joined us. We sure missed Wendy and Kaylee though.
It was Disney Princesses and Livvy loved it. Here are some pictures:

Ring Around the Rosies

Livvy was playing ring around the rosies with Micah, this is how the song went:
