Timpanogos Ice Breaker
Saturday I took the challenge and competed in my first triathalon. I didn't take first, but I did finish the entire course, not stopping once!! I feel pretty proud about that.
The usual triathalon course is swim, bike, run. Due to weather, we had a reverse triathalon of run, bike swim. We started at about 9am with a 3 mile run. I feel I did pretty good on my run, even though 15 year old boys, with skinny chicken legs and no butt kept passing me.
Once I crossed the finish for the run, I got to my bike and tried to put my helmet on. I borrowed it from my nephew, Tanner, and didn't even think to fit it to my head prior to the race. So I go to put the helmet on...it won't buckle!! You can't leave the transition area with your helmet buckled. So I spent a few (wasted) minutes fitting my helmet to my head, then hopped on my bike.
I didn't think the bike would be that bad, only 11 miles. I knew there would be hills, I expected that. What I didn't expect was the 40mph head wind the whole time!!! I probably lost about 15 minutes because of the wind (and I was using a mountain bike, not a road bike). But, I never once got off my bike to push it.
Back at the transition area, I stripped down to my swimsuit, grabbed my swimcap and goggles and jogged to the pool. Now, swimming...not my forte. I practiced prior to the race, but I have a fear of putting my face in the water, so that slowed me down. I did finish and I wasn't even the last person.
My mom & dad, Cari & Mark, Livvy & Micah were there to cheer me on and brave the cold. Thank you Cari for the gloves, watching the kids and taking the pictures!!! Thanks Mark for the support, it really means a lot. Dad thanks for the hat, I can't believe I didn't think to bring one. Mom, thanks for feeding Livvy an unending amount of candy while I was away and for supporting me. Livvy & Micah, thanks for the smiles and cheers. It helped keep me motivated.
So, I have finished my first triathalon. Yes, I say first because I plan to do one again. I need to beat my time of 1hr 57min. (I say 1hr, 32min due to the wind!!) Plus, it was fun. The adrenaline, the challenge, I recommend it to everyone, at least once.

Micah and Molly
Molly is in love with Micah. Whenever she comes in she goes straight to him. She inches closer to him, trying to be conspicuous, and then covers him in kisses. And she won't stop even after we tell her too, she just loves him.

Micah got 101 Dalmations in his basket. When he saw it just grabbed it and started
chewing on it.
The proud huntress!

Easter trip
We spent Easter weekend this year in Nampa, ID with Kenny's brother Nathan and family. It is a short drive there, except when you're me and have had about 2 hours sleep and can't sleep in the car on the way there for longer than 15 min.
New sunnies for the trip!!
Potty stop and a pack of gummie lifesavers!
Anyway, we got there Friday night and watched a movie, just relaxing. Saturday we woke up and went to Nathan's ward Easter egg hunt and breakfast. Livvy was very excited to have her bucket and find some eggs. We had yummy breakfast burritos, but the berry medley was frozen and very tart!!
Kenny was able to spend some time with his bro hunting down cars and yard sales. He is pretty cute asking me if it was okay to go off alone with his brother. Of course you can, how often do you get to see Nathan? So Mary, the kids and I went shopping, what else?
Mary, Asherman and Nate
Finding an egg
Once we met back up, we went for a drive to a part of the Snake River that is know for being one of, or the largest place to spot birds of prey. (Forgive me I can't remember the actual name). Then we drove to Swan Falls and walked on the diversion dam. I thought it was really neat.
The beautiful Snake River
Easter morning the kids woke up to find the Easter bunny left some eggs and baskets for them. Livvy and Shannon couldn't wait to go on the hunt!
We stayed for church and then made the drive home. A short trip, but it was nice to get away for the weekend. Thanks again Nate and Mary! Come stay with us anytime!!

Princesses on Ice

Last night Livvy and I went to see Disney on Ice Princess Wishes. We had a blast! We went with Cari and Ali, and Wendy, Cody and Kaylee. I think Ali was as excited to see the princesses as the little girls were!
It was a really good show and we had really great seats. You won't be able to tell that from my pictures because my camera doesn't have that great of a zoom. But we saw 7 Disney Princesses, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White and Mulan.
Livvy was most excited to see Ariel and Aurora. When Malificent came out, Livvy pointed her "magic wand" at her to stop her from "eating the Prince". A highlight of the night was when Lumiere, um.... fell. I know it's mean to laugh about, but he was just skating off the ice when, splat!!, he fell on his face and his candlestick arm fell off. Belle just turned around, helped him to his feet with Tinkerbell's help and they skated off. The best part was they left the spotlight on him the whole time!!
It was a really fun night. Now I can't wait to take Livvy to Disneyland so she can meet the Princesses in person.
As the show was starting
Me and my princess! (note the magic wand)
Wendy, Kaylee and Cody
Cari and Ali
The Princesses! (and Minnie!)

Part of your world
So if you know Livvy, you know that she loves to sing Disney Princess songs. Since about 18months old she has known all the words to The Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World". Everytime I have tried to videotape her singing, she either gets too shy or mad. Finally, the other day, I got her to sing it for the camera. It is so cute! Please excuse my horrible singing voice as I prompt her on the words.

A day in my life
So the last few weeks I have really dreaded going to work. I just have this desire, this feeling to be at home with my family. Granted, I only work 3 times a week and at night, but I miss being at home to put my kids to bed and watch the news with Kenny. I am sure someday I will get my wish, but until then I will cherish each moment I have at home with them. And lately, some silly things have been going on at home.
This is how I keep Micah happy while folding laundry. He doesn't like to spend a lot of time on his own and he can't sit up by himself just yet. So I put him in the "cage". He might not look like it in the pictures, but he really does like it.
This is what happens when I leave Livvy alone with a pudding cup. Realize when I gave it to her I said, "Now Livvy, use your spoon. Don't use your fingers and please don't get it all over yourself." Her response, "I won't Mom." Right. I knew it was too good to be true. I am just glad this time it wasn't pudding shampoo!!
Here is our fish, Blue. Thank you Aunt Cari for the new addition (a.k.a. responsibility for Mom) to our family.
Unfortunately, Blue has already gone to fishy heaven, following his cousins, Blonnie and Clyde (again, thanks Aunt Cari) down the porcelain water slide. Just a heads up, fish don't do well at our house, so if you are thinking of giving one as a gift, spare the fish his life.

They shall be clean...
So for the past five months or so, our dishwasher has gone to crap. We have needed to wash each load 3-4 times just to get dishes clean and they still were coming out covered in film. We tried cleaning the filters and that whole jet dry thing (it lasted about 2 loads) before I was finally so fed up, I called Kenny at work and told him to buy a new dishwasher. The next day, we got this.....
Bye, bye old dishwasher. You served your purpose for your masters until you could serve no more. It is off to dishwasher heaven for you now, a.k.a. RC Willey's trash bin.
.....old dishwasher :(
As for the new dishwasher, I LOVE IT!! My dishes are clean, the residue from the old dishwasher has come off all of the dishes. It does have a little less cubic space, but I am not letting that deter me. My dishes are clean again!!!
