Holiday Fun!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Kenny and I sure did. Livvy sort of understood the whole Santa thing this year. When asked what Santa was going to bring her, she would say, "A candy cane". He didn't disappoint her, sure enough on Christmas morning there was a candy cane in her stocking, not to mention the trike under the tree for her too. Micah got some toys and rattles, but he sure was a big talker that morning. He sure is getting big. It amazes me how quickly he went from newborn to infant. You can see Kenny below holding his new totally awesome Masterpiece Skywarp Transformer!!....exactly, I think only men 25-30 years old will appreciate it. Of course he did get the Transformer about 4 months ago, but wasn't supposed to open it until Christmas. Of course when the package came he opened it right away. He is just a big kid at heart! (and no Kenny, I don't remember the conversation we had where I told you could open the Transformer when it came)! Now that Christmas is over, we are gearing up for Livvy's 2nd birthday party. She is going to make out like a bandit every year at this time!! Stay tuned for more......

Which one is the evil one?

The twins are here!! They arrived Saturday, December 15th at around 8:30 pm (I think). Baby A was 5lbs. 9oz. and Baby B was 5lbs. 13oz. (No names yet). Kenny of course made the joke which is the title of this blog. They are two precious little boys, once they're 2 or 3....that's a different story. They have been inthe NICU however, due to some blood sugar issues, but are doing great otherwise. They just haven't gotten their appetite yet, poor Meri when they do, tandem nursing does not sound like fun to me! Meri is doing fine, she was able to have both both the "normal way" (I spared young eyes from the correct medical term!) even though Baby B was breech. Ian is coping, I think happy to have sons, but overwhelmed they are twins!! Lily and Lydia haven't seen their brothers yet due to being in the NICU, but should be able to see them soon. So look at the pictures, ooh and ahh. The first single baby is Baby A (Arik?) and the second single baby is Baby B (Duncan?).

Family Times

Okay, this post is really just an excuse to diplay some of my favorite family pics. Everytime I would take Micah's picture the red-eye reducer would flash and then the regular flash would go off and this would be Micah's expression in every picture. Yes, that really is me riding a little scooter. Kenny got it for free and fixed it up. I probably only went about 10mph on it. The other pictures were taken at Disneyland, my personal favorite vacation desitation besides Disney World!! (what can I say, it really is the Happiest Place on Earth!) I love the looks exchanged between Livvy and Kenny. He loves his little girl so much, she definitely has him wrapped around her little finger!

Entering the Computer Age

Here I sit at my computer and I am lost for words. This is my first blog ever and I am still not entirely sure I know what I am doing! My two great friends, Nathalie and Kristen, and I went to dinner the other night. They were both talking about blogs and how easy and fun they were. I decided I wanted to join in, so here goes!
This week has been a good week. Being on maternity leave has been wonderful! I don't have to go back to work until the new year so I won't start thinking about it just yet. Livvy has had a cough this week, it sounds a little croupy, so I have been doing all I know how to do to make her better. Even though she is sick she is still bouncing off the walls and having fun. She has to wear her swirly, twirly dress at all times. Two nights ago she woke up coughing and I could hear her mumbling something about "dress". A few minutes later she was standing in her doorway and in her froggy voice called pleadingly, "Dress, dress where are you?" Oh, how I love her!
Micah has been a good boy too. Since I am having to go back to work soon (still not thinking about it!) I weened him this week. No more boob juice! He was none too happy, especially since it happened on the day he got his first shots. Just when he needed Mommy the most, I wasn't there for him. I agonized over my decision to ween him, but he is doing fine on formula and still gets a little frozen momma milk every day.
Kenny is getting ready for finals. School is not his forte, but he has been dilligent this semester. He works two jobs right now since I am home and I love him for it. I know it is not easy working and going to school. Luckily he has his Transformers to entertain him when he needs a break. I am serious about that!

Christmas is approaching and I am done shopping!!! Now I just have to wrap. I hope everyone has a save and happy holiday. Especially Nathalie with her move to Kentucky, Josiah in Afghanistan (pray for his safety), Josh, Gretchen and family on their flight here and Josh's speedy recovery and Dad's. And I cannot forget Meri and the birth of her twins. I pray everything goes well and all three of you are happy and healthy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
