Hypocrite

You know, I ususally check blogs only on the nights I work. I get a little disappointed when I see people haven't posted in a week or more. And then I think to myself, well when was the last time you posted? I honestly don't think my life is interesting and when something interesting happens I never seem to have a camera around or think to write down the cute things my kids say. Maybe this is the same problem the others are having.
Note to self: my life might not be interesting to me, but it might be to others.

Am I weird?

Aside from the obvious of course!, I was realizing today how weird I am. Let me explain. Whenever I eat a handful of something (goldfish crackers, M&M's, etc.), I have to eat them in an even number. Whenever I eat raw carrots, if the first one I bite into is really sweet, I put it aside and eat it very last (just in case the second to last carrot leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, I have the sweet carrot left to wash away the taste). When I was little if I chewed 6 times (an even # of course!) on the right side of my mouth, I had to chew 6 times on the left. So am I weird? Do you have any little quirks like this?

The coloring of the eggs

We had our FHE last night (since I work most Mondays). Being close to Easter we decided to color Easter eggs. I think Livvy and Micah had a lot of fun. Livvy was so excited to see the eggs go in white and come out a different color. Micah had fun sticking his fingers in the dye. Which of course led to a lovely spill of blue dye all over the table. We now have 12 brightly colored eggs to leave out for the Easter bunny to hide. We ended our night getting ice cream cones from Arctic Circle. Got to love the free courtesy cones! The perfect size for little hands.

In Remembrance

Last night at 7:09pm, I found out a good friend is gone. There was no word, no warning. A comforting friend, always there to cheer me up when I was down. My world is shattered. No where will I find anything to replace it. Sadly, Pudding on the Rice has closed. Once more the recession has darkened my life. I never even got to use my $5 gift certificate.

The Drama Queen

My little girl is such drama queen! Today she had an accident while taking her nap. Because of this her "special blankey" had to be put in the wash. This was very traumatic for Livvy. Even though I explained why it had to washed she would not stop crying. I let her be during the waterworks, but after about 15 minutes she was still boobing. I found her in my room, sitting on my bed, facing the dresser mirror, watching herself cry!!! How pathetic! She sat there for a little while longer, but was all smiles when I suggested we make a tent out of chairs and blankets. She is such a little goose!

Cold weather fun

Now, to be honest, I don't like winter. I hate being cold, I hate snow unless it is in the mountains and I am in a cabin by a fire drinking hot chocolate. But every year I let go of my hate to participate in the Greer Family Fun Day, tubing at Soldier Hollow. (Thanks Mom and Dad!)

Can you find the two snow monkeys?

The last time we were able to go was 2007, since Mom and Dad were in Australia last year. (Sad for them, huh?!) At that time you were able to have a lap rider go up the tow rope with you and ride down the hill with you. Not this year. Livvy and Micah both had to ride up the hill BY THEMSELVES! It was a little traumatic for Micah. Luckily you are able to go down the hill as a train, so Kenny and I held onto the tubes Livvy and Micah were in and set sail down the slope! Micah was not too keen on the idea, Livvy was not either until her 4 year old cousin, Lydia pronounced "That. Was. Awesome!". Then Livvy rode again, with Lydia of course.

Kenny liked riding on the little tubes so he could go really fast. I got one time on film and when he got to the bottom he almost took out Lydia! The whole family had lots of fun and we ate lots and lots of really good junk food. Our two hours there seemed to fly by it was so much fun. Can't wait until next year!

The Draper Temple

Kenny, Livvy, Micah and I were able to attend the Draper Temple open house on Feb. 10th. It was such a neat experience. Livvy kept asking why it was Heavenly Father's house and why the "pool" was being carried by the "cows". It was a great teaching experience for Kenny and I. The Temple is such a wonderful place and this temple is very, very beautiful. Inside and out. The bride's room was so beautiful, it made me want to get married again just so I could be a bride in that room! I am grateful to live so close to the Temple, for the work that is done there and that I was able to be sealed to my sweetheart so we can be a forever family with our children.

We rode the Blue Bus from the parking lot to get up to the temple site.

They had yummy cookies and bottled water at the end. I think this was their favorite part.
